The National CCSVI Society provides provides workshops, seminars conferences and other structured educational forums for patients through a variety of methods. Because our audience and our focus is national in scope, we carry out these educational and informational activities through face-to-face meetings across Canada, virtual events, and video, audio, and text based information in the NCS Library.
We also publish the NCS News Digest regularly, which is distributed electronically around the world.
Our Accomplishments
Inaugural CCSVI Patient-based Event
We held the first Canadian CCSVI patient-based education session on August 9, 2010 in Victoria, BC where a panel of MS patients provided first-hand education to patients and caregivers on their CCSVI treatment. We invite you to view the NCS library for a video link to this inagural event.
Inaugural CCSVI Researcher-based Forum
On September 10, 2011, NCS hosted an inaugural Canadian CCSVI medical forum titled New Discoveries New Beginnings in Victoria (Sidney) BC. This event brought together a who’s-who of Canadian and North American CCSVI researchers to provide patients and the medical community the latest in CCSVI research. Canadian Visibility
We have helped hundreds of CCSVI patients, caregivers, and medical practitioners through open, face-to-face education forums in many Canadian locations, including Victoria, Vancouver, Regina, Hamilton, and Saint John NB and jointly presented education in Whitehorse, Grand Prairie, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, London, Barrie, and Halifax.
We will continue to bring CCSVI education to other locations as funding permits. If you would like to sponsor an event in your community, please let us know.
Electronic Education Materials
We leverage technology to capture and provide education to those who cannot attend our face-to-face forums and as a method for others to review or share the education.
Please visit the NCS library for a dynamic list of CCSVI education stored in video, audio, or text based materials.
Research
We support and fund independent, peer-reviewed research and clinical trials conducted by Canadian
universities, medical institutions and other qualified donees.
